ART EVENT

'Every child is an artist'  – an exploration of young children and the arts
Pablo Picasso

Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) | 140 George St, The Rocks NSW

Semann & Slattery and Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) invite you to the MCA for a sensory awakening — a stimulating and thought-provoking exploration of your work with young children and the rich medium of the visual arts. Our visit begins in the Lecture Theatre; here, presenters and Artists will set the scene for your art adventure. Next, MCA Artist Educators will share their passion, knowledge and insights as they guide you through the Museum exhibition spaces and particular installations. They will encourage you to look more closely, think about what you are looking at more deeply – perhaps gain new perspectives. Finally, bringing the visit to a close, you will join the Artist Educators in the Creative Studios for an immersive art making experience – an opportunity to respond to the art you have seen and express your impressions in visual form. You will be surprised by the ease of finding your creative energy.

Ticket cost: $205 incl. GST (includes tea/coffee and a light brunch or lunch)
